Delightful Wishes Meets Country Woods

 

I received a fun fold card from my Upline, Lisa Curcio, and a Workshop Hostess wanted to make that card for her workshop.  I didn't have the bundle, so I had to get creative! The original used Cheerful Daisies Bundle, but I substituted Delightful Wishes, a new Online Exclusive.

The card base is Pool Party 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock, cut to 4 1/4" x 7, scored at 5 1/2".  Round all corners.

Cut the Pool Party design from Country Woods DSP to 4 1/4" x 1 1/2", and round the bottom corners.  Adhere to the top flap of the Pool Party card base.

Cut 2 pieces of Basic White CS, one at 4" x 5 1/4" (front) and one at 3 3/4" x 5 1/4" (insert).  The front is slightly larger to completely hide the insert.

Stamp a sentiment on the front panel, off to one side.  I used 'You're simply Marvelous' from the retired Perennial Postage Stamp Set.  I just love those sentiments!

On a piece of Basic White scrap, stamp the outline of the small flower 4 times in Pretty Peacock ink.

Also stamp the outline of the small flower on the insert as desired. Add a sentiment if desired.  Adhere the 3 3/4" x 5 1/4" insert to the 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of the Pool Party card base.

Carefully line up the solid small stamp with Pool Party ink, and stamp over the outline image.  Die cut 4 flowers.  Also stamp the solid flower on the card insert.

Die cut the branch from Delightful Wishes Dies in Early Espresso.  Adhere the branch as desired on the card front.  Adhere the branch as desired to the card front, then carefully line up the card front over the card base with insert.  Add adhesive to the flap (that was covered by Country Woods DSP) and press down on the Basic White card front.  Adhere well.

Use dimensionals to adhere several die cut flowers to the branch.  Add a bow of Linen Thread (I used a triple bow) and you have a beautiful, different, card to share.

Seaside Wishes in Blues

  I stamped and die cut lots of the images from the new Seaside Wishes Hybrid Embossing Bundle so I could play around with colors and layout.  The embossed background is basic beige, run through the Seaside Wishes Embossing Folder.  The blue dsp along the left edge is from Country Woods 12"x12" DSP.  I love this paper! I used Blending Brushes to add Pecan Pie & Crumb Cake to the sand dollar images on the top layer of the folder.  Then added the dies to emboss and cut at once.  The definition is really nice. The sand dollars have one dimensional in the center, then the outer edges are glued down.  I like how that adds just a bit of dimension. The sentiment is on a 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" piece of Basic White, then mounted on a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of Night of Navy. It was a lot of fun playing with this set! Adventurous Sky

 Loving this airplane from the new Adventurous Sky Bundle! The plane is die cut from Night of Navy and Silver Specialty Foil. The DSP is cut 2"x5 1/4", and the thin silver strip is cut 1/2"x5 1/4". Seaside Wishes in Pretty Peacock

  I love this color combination using the new Seaside Wishes Bundle.  The Hybrid Embossing folder is just amazing!  I used a blending brush to add Crumb Cake ink and Pretty Peacock ink to the sand dollar images in the top portion of the folder, then used the dies to emboss and cut the 3 sand dollars out at once.  The definition it gives the sand dollar is beautiful! I also stamped the large and small star fish in Pretty Peacock & Copper Clay, and die cut them to add dimension.  The DSP is from the Country Woods 12" x 12" DSP.  This pretty wood print is actually the back side of one of the sheets.  I also used a torn strip of Crumb Cake cardstock across the center of the card.  The sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock, and punched with the Labeled with Love Punch.  I felt it was a little too big for the area I left for it, so I trimmed the top and bottom.
