The Stampin' Professor

  This is a really cute shaker card using the Sale-a-bration 2024 Flight & Airy DSP. The bird is fussy cut from one sheet, the blue water-color panel is the back of another sheet. The sentiment is from the Waves of Inspiration bundle, and the ribbon is the Silver & White Sheer Ribbon.  I die cut the square from Stylish Shapes, using 2 square dies at the same time.  This created a solid square which I used for the background for the bird.  Glue the bird to the solid square.   Cut the acetate slightly smaller than the square frame, then adhere to the back of the frame.  Be careful if you use liquid glue, as I got it on the acetate and it's hard to get off! Use foam adhesive strips around the frame, making sure you don't leave gaps for the sequins to escape. Adhere the bird-square to the front of the card as desired.  Pour 1/8-1/4 tsp sequins right on top of the bird.   Carefully adhere the frame so you don't catch any sequins under the foam. In Person Card Classes are held at Bay Life Church in Brandon Florida.  Pre-registration is required. A Pretty Peacock Pelican! The Waves of Inspiration Bundle is so versatile! I've seen this pelican in many colors, but thought the pairing with the Winter Meadows Pretty Peacock paper is outstanding! The pelican is stamped in Pretty Peacock on Basic White Cardstock, then die cut with the Deckled Rectangles Die. That is layered with dimensionals on a Basic White Cardstock embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.  The Winter Meadows paper is cut 2"x5 1/4", edged with a 1/4" strip of Pretty Peacock Cardstock, then adhered to the embossed layer. Wrap a piece of linen thread a couple of times around the pelican & tie it off with a knot or a bow.  A white insert finishes it off!  Flight & Airy meets Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder I'm loving the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder! It embosses and cuts at the same time.  I rubbed a Pretty Peacock Stampin' Ink Pad over the raised surface of the folder, inserted the die, and cut out 10 sentiments all at once. This card uses 'you make me happy'.  A short and sweet sentiment. It's a truly cool process! The diagonal strip is the back of one of the Flight  & Airy papers.  I glued it down to the white 4" x 5 1/4" panel before embossing it with the Layered Florals Embossing Folder. When I use Thick Basic White Cardstock for the base, I like to use a 1/4" strip of the DSP on the inside of the card. The cardstock is heavy enough to stand on its own, but I think the little extra color inside adds that nice little touch.
